In 2012, I received a diagnosis of a rare endocrine disorder known as Acromegaly and had to learn how to grapple with the complexities of a rare hormonal condition, in addition to caring for my twins who I had given birth to a year prior. While hospitalized, I received exceptional care and support from the nursing staff.

The idea for uPaged came from my experience working in a busy intensive care unit, and receiving agency nurses that I knew nothing about, and trying to allocate them safely to patients. Where did the idea come from?
