Thirty nurses at three medical centers in Southern California were chosen to receive the honor, which includes a $10,000 gift from the foundation. Nurses were selected based on “a bias toward action; a capacity for self-direction; originality and creative instincts; courageous and bold thinking; and the potential to achieve even more.”
