Evans I graduated from my basic nursing program in 1973 (50 years ago!). Just like now, a significant nursing shortage existed then, too. As a matter of fact, I don’t recall a single time in my long career that we weren’t faced with a shortage. Our school also more recently added a military veteran to BSN program.
